Dr. Karan Verma
“Patients come in convinced they have a scalp condition. Often what I'm actually looking at is years of product residue, occlusive buildup that irritates the skin and stops anything else from getting through. Clearing it is the first thing I'd try before adding another treatment.”

  • Before and after, 6 weeks

    Ashley, 31

I've tried everything. Rogaine, biotin, rosemary oil, $88/month serums. Nothing. Six weeks into this bar and my shower drain tells a different story. I actually see baby hairs along my hairline for the first time in two years. My husband noticed before I did.

  • Before and after, 8 weeks

    Megan, 34

I was so tired of seeing more hair in my brush every morning. I'd tried expensive shampoos, scalp oils, vitamins, pretty much everything. About two months in, I started noticing way less shedding and all these tiny new hairs around my part. My hair finally feels like it's moving in the right direction.

  • Before and after, 10 weeks

    Danielle, 29

My part had been getting wider for over a year and I honestly stopped taking photos with my hair down. I wasn't expecting much, but after sticking with this consistently, my scalp doesn't look nearly as noticeable and I'm seeing little baby hairs along my hairline. Even my sister asked if I'd done something different to my hair.

Western haircare treats your hair. Korean haircare treats your scalp.

Everything else in your shower works on the strand. The bar works on the layer beneath it, the one that has been sealed off for years.

  • Thicker hair starts at the scalp

Conditioners, masks and thickening sprays all treat the strand and stop there. Korean scalp care starts one layer down, at the skin the follicle actually sits in.

  • A bottle of shampoo is mostly water

Water needs surfactants to lather and conditioning agents to feel good, and those are exactly what settle on your scalp and stay there. A bar has nothing to dilute.

  • 12 fermented herbs, 60 seconds

Fermentation breaks the botanicals down small enough to reach your scalp directly instead of sitting on top of it. 1 minute of lather is the whole routine.

  • It clears the path. You keep your routine.

Dissolves years of buildup and settles the irritation underneath, so the serum, conditioner and treatments you already own can finally reach the scalp they were made for.

  • Most notice a difference in 6 to 8 weeks
  • Sulfate-free and silicone-free

How it works

  1. Gliding the bar over a wet scalp

    Glide it over wet scalp

Straight onto the scalp, in sections.

  2. Massaging the scalp with fingertips

    Massage for 60 seconds

Fingertips, small circles, front to nape.

  3. Woman with clean dry hair after rinsing

    Rinse and carry on

Follow with the products you already use.

Less hair after each wash, and roots that stay clean a day longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from regular shampoo? +

Regular shampoo is mostly water. Water needs surfactants to lather and conditioning agents to feel good, and those are what settle on your scalp and stay there. A bar has nothing to dilute, so the fermented botanicals make direct contact instead of sitting on top.

It's also doing a different job. Shampoo cleans your hair. This clears the layer of buildup underneath it.

Do I have to give up my current products? +

No. Keep your conditioner, your serum, your leave-in, all of it. The bar replaces one step — the wash — and everything else stays exactly the same.

Most people notice their existing products start absorbing differently within the first week, which is usually the first sign it's working.

How long until I notice something? +

The scalp feeling different happens on the first wash — lighter, not coated. Itching usually settles within the first week or two.

Anything to do with shedding and density takes longer, because hair grows on its own schedule regardless of what you put on it. Give it two to three months before you judge it.

Will it work for my hair type? +

Yes — it's a scalp product, and the scalp is skin regardless of what grows out of it. Straight, wavy, curly, coily, colour-treated, relaxed, locs.

If your hair is very dry or very curly, you may want to condition mid-lengths and ends afterwards. The bar deliberately doesn't leave conditioning agents at the root.

Does it work for men? +

Buildup doesn't care about gender, and neither does the bar. It's the same product for the same problem.

What if my scalp is sensitive or I have dermatitis? +

It's sulfate-free, which is usually the thing that irritates a sensitive scalp. Plenty of people using it were told they had dermatitis when the actual issue was years of product buildup.

But if you have a diagnosed condition and you're on a prescribed treatment, don't swap it out for this. Add it, see how your scalp responds, and tell your dermatologist you've changed your wash.

What if it doesn't work for me? +

Send it back within 60 days and we'll refund you, even if the bar is half used. You don't need to give a reason.
